Rich Vocabulary Vs. Strong Concept

What is more important ? A rich vocabulary or a strong concept ? To comment on critical isuues, both of these are required. You have to balance them all and optimize.
Unless you have a strong concept, words will not roll out from your mind. These stock of words come from your storehouse, otherwise known as your "Vocabulary". But is this vocab thing really that important? I don't feel so.
Its more important that you express yourself more clearly through your own writing. It should be the window to your inner self rather than being superflous in nature. It should be composed of simple and common words which people use daily and it shall make your subject more interesting. Whats the use, if the reader is not at all involved in what he or she is reading ?
Conclusion: Thought process is more important than anything else. Vocabbulary adds a glossy shine to it.

Cleanliness

Theres a saying :"Cleanliness is next to godliness". Till now i had not understood what it was. It was just like any other proverb for me, but i now perceive it differently. Probably, when you are very clean, you do feel on top of the world. Especially, having a bath after 2-3 days does make you happy. This happiness of the inner self may have been referred to as godliness.
I do admit that i am a bit lazy, when it comes to cleaning my own room. But once you have cleaned your own room, things do fall into order and you are able to find these things easily. This brings in a happiness that cannot be expressed in words. Your temper does cool down and your nerves calm down, when you live in such an environment. The "feel good" factor develops and you feel a lot secured. Thats what i am going through now, on a bright sunday morning , after having a nice bath.

Thinking Hat

Well wel well.... many thoughts do come to my mind. I cant understand what to write when ! This is an attempt to organize my thoughts. I hope it shall be able to improve my thinking power ie. help me thing in a much more logical and organized way.

It really takes some time to come out of your shell. In all spheres of life this statement is applicable. Take for example this simple blogging attempt. I had created this login so many days ago, but couldnt gather enough "....." to write any blog. I dont know who shall read this. These are thoughts that come directly from the heart.

Now that CAT is over, and we have many admission tests left along with our main-stream academics, this is the time when i am planning to look at my inner self, to express those feelings that have long been buried in the depths of time.

I was the leader... yes I was. Be it any field. Be it academics or social fields. I was the first one to be preferred.
Things did change after I took admission to IIT Kharagpur.IIT is so tough. It is a place of overflowing talents. Its quite unfair that after working so hard for your JEE exam, you finally land up in Architecture. Its not totally my fault to take up architecture, though i am not at all denying my role in taking this decision. Why did the authorities keep open this field for people who have such an analytical frame of mind !!
What was our thought process before coming to IIT ? What has it become now ?... These are questions that have to be asked to ourselves !!
Well what i feel about this may not be agreeable to all others. I think we have not changed even after 5 years of attempt to whitewash our mind. This attempt have been made by our professors, our friends etc. , even by ourselves. When we did concile to our fates in our second year, some of us might have thought that he might become an architect. But these dreams seem to be breaking. More so as we approach the end of our course at IIT Kharagpur.
Why is this ? The main reason is that we dont like criticism. Most of us have come from backgrounds in which they had the final say in everything they did.
The solution to a mathematics problem didnt invite any criticism unless and until it has been done in a very very long or short method. But even then, what came was a slight suggestion and did not have any effect of your marks as such. Impression did count when you wrote essays and long type answers in history. But it was not upto that level that we have to deal with nowadays.

Its like 40% impression and the rest on your skiils. And how has this impression ben built ? Its been developed by bending , by humility, by accepting that, they are right when they criticize, and you have to adapt yourself to this world. These are no doubt 'admirable' skills, but are they really admirable ? Think from the point of view, when you used to be the first ranker in your class. Your impresion used to be built by the time you took to do your problems and your accuracy rate. Here, we have a very subjective topic. Somebody may like it... others may dislike it. It even happens that you may not even get credit for the work which you think you have really wqorked har upon !!... So you are dependent more on other, rather than yourself to make your own fortune !!

Outside word may be looking a little juicy , now that we are in such a system. But it might be the same in all fields. I dont know. Nobody is satisfied with his/her work.

The world rests on Hope....and thats what i am doing now-a-days..
Lets hope for the best
