Comedy of Errors

Central Character : Rupesh Kr. Jha aka Jhaji
This guy has a great sense of humour. As you know, a strict security cordon has been thrown around IIT Kgp due to the terrorist attact at IISc Bangalore. So what did our dear friend Jhaji do to attract attention ? He informed one of the security guards that there was a certain "Jhola" hanging from one of the parked cycles, which looked suspicious....when it was as innocent as water. Well that might not be asuitable term to describe it, yet i can't find a better term. Over that he said that it might contain a bomb !! Ha ha ha ha.... you should have seen the expression on the face of the guard ! He didn't know how to express himself...whether to look serious or laugh - he was totally confused. And our great Jhaji kept on "giggling" in his typical style...
Moral : Beware of Jhaji , he can drive you mad ....he he...

The Placement Season

Common Terms used :

BPL : Biodata pe Lath ...
this happens when the Company you are applying to , doesn't even care to look at your CV. It just brushes you aside on account of your Department and carries on its recuiting process....

BBKL : Bina bath ke lath...
this happens when the company, which you are applying for a job, first shortlists you, then kicks you out, without questioning your skills

GPL : G pe lath
You can get ir either ways. First - If the company shortlists you, then calls you for an interview, and then kicks you out, you get it (theoretically) from the company's executives
Secondly, if you do land a job, your batchmates and near and dear ones at your college lifts you up and gives you a heavy dose of bump.
It depends on you, which one you will take first !! The bigger the better !!

Ha haha ha.....Mr Nutty

These types of nutty ideas do come to me often. I just take any one of my pics and start editing it uselessly.... and finally i am happy if i come out with something very funny...thats my nature....This pic is one taken by a digicam, and edited with photshop to create those nutty goggles..

Pandey : God of Small Things

Pandey has been one of the biggest influences on me at IIT KGP. I just admire this guy in awe. He has such good skills at managing things (his own things to be more precise), that you can't do anything, but just admire him. He has tried out everything in life, without regretting, and being successful in most of them. He has not sat about ruing about the skills that he doesn't have, but has used the skills he has to the utmost limit. No barriers can stop him. I just admire this guy in awe..........

Unrewarded

Many a times i have worked on things that have helped me by nothing. They have just been a simple loss of time. This one pic is of a diagram that some guy wanted me to make. It earned him a patent. Nowhere was i mentioned. I thought this was a social service, but understood, that perhaps it was another exploitation of my good self !! Whwn shall i come to understand these complexities ??

The last creation --- > On Revit...yes , i have decided not to work on revit for the moment and concentrate on quality drawings first , rather than these 3Ds !!

Our Sourav Dada

Its a pity that people are forgetting the contribution of our own Sourav Dada, who had nearly made the dreams of all Indians come true in the 2003 World Cup, when we reached the final. Here is a morphed picture, created by some cricket crazy fan in India during that time

Back to the roots

After a long time i do feel that..... well i dont know....
but i do have a great feeling when i satrt looking up my old book, especially the programming language books that i studied in the first year

Its really funny that i really RELISH the things or rather subjects which i have just had a glance of, rather than the subjects that i have dwelved into details

Christmas Celebrations at St.Patricks Asansol

i was just browsing through my old school pictures when i happened to come across this picture. It was of a Christmas skit that was being enacted... dont remember which year....at OUR auditorium....yes ! even after leaving school 5years ago, i still feel like calling MY school auditorium as "OUR" auditorium. There are so many memorable incidents attached to this auditorium...and i still feel very happy when i remember those days...



Its the chistmas season again and i do miss the atmosphere there at St.Patrick's. I was feeling so nostalgic about it that i started listening to some chrismas carols. Those songs accompanied by the guitar and piano, along with the chrismas bells still ring in my mind. It was really fun those days when we used to sing together at the choir or be a part of the skits. really missing that stuff in our life...but the influence remains !!..The Christian Brother's influence..

My first love story with this auditorium started when i was in Class I, when we had the centenary celebrations in the year 90-91 . It was one of the greatest moments that i shall cherish throughout my life. I was a part of the school choir, and i tell you , it was a great experience.
